Senior HSSE Advisor – Programs & Systems

The Senior HSSE Advisor – Programs & Systems is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global health, safety, and environmental (HSSE) programs and systems. This role ensures the organization maintains robust frameworks to manage workplace risks, reduce environmental impact, and achieve compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
The role acts as a key contributor to enterprise-wide HSSE governance framework by standardizing programs, maintaining digital systems, and enabling consistent reporting, training, and communication across global operations

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HSSE roles, with emphasis on programs, systems, and/or governance.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing HSSE management systems and corporate programs.
- Experience working in global or multi-jurisdictional environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHS/OSHA and equivalent regulations).
- Experience with HSE software systems, data analytics, and reporting tools.
- Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and improvements.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
HSSE Programs & Governance- Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of corporate HSSE programs, including:
- Frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and best practices
- Templates, toolkits, and guidance materials
- Ensure HSSE programs are aligned with leading global frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation and integration of HSSE management systems across all business units and regions.
- Monitor evolving HSE legislation and industry practices to ensure ongoing compliance and relevance.
- Administer and optimize HSSE management systems and software platforms (e.g., incident management, audit tools, KPI dashboards).
- Manage and maintain internal collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) supporting HSSE documentation and communication.
- Drive improvements in data integrity, user experience, and system adoption across the organization.
- Partner with IT and stakeholders to support system enhancements, automation, and integration initiatives.
- Facilitate the collection, validation, and reporting of HSSE performance data, including KPIs and leading/lagging indicators.
- Prepare and distribute corporate HSSE reports, dashboards, and communications for leadership and stakeholders.
- Analyze trends to identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support development of global performance metrics, targets, and benchmarking.
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of HSSE training programs and competency frameworks.
- Drive automation and tracking of training requirements through learning management systems (LMS).
- Ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning solutions.
- Support enterprise risk management processes, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to incident analysis, lessons learned, and corrective action tracking.
- Participate in audits, assessments, and management reviews to measure system effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with regional and functional teams to ensure consistent application of HSSE programs and systems globally.
- Provide technical systems guidance and support to operational teams and leadership.
- Support internal HSSE communications, campaigns, and engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate across global teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

- Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region.
