As part of the Surgical Operating Unit, the Senior Product Specialist – Robotic Surgical Technologies Iberia plays a critical role in accelerating the adoption and growth of robotic-assisted surgery across Spain and Portugal. Reporting to the Marketing Director, Surgical Iberia, this role works in close partnership with the Robotic Sales Manager Iberia and key cross-functional stakeholders to align commercial priorities, marketing initiatives and market development activities, supporting the growth of the Robotics business while contributing to broader Surgical Iberia business objectives.The Senior Product Specialist is responsible for driving the growth and adoption of Medtronic’s Robotic Surgical Technologies portfolio across Spain and Portugal. Combining strategic marketing, market development and stakeholder engagement, this role will help identify growth opportunities, strengthen customer partnerships, support strategic business initiatives and contribute to the expansion of robotic surgery programs across Iberia. For this remote position, you will be expected to be based in Spain, ideally in Madrid.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead marketing and market development initiatives for Medtronic’s Robotic Surgical Technologies portfolio in Spain and Portugal
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs and competitive dynamics to support business growth and technology adoption
- Partner with commercial and cross-functional teams to develop strategic opportunities and support customer growth plans
- Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), scientific societies and reference centers
- Support educational, scientific and customer engagement initiatives that drive awareness, advocacy and adoption
- Contribute to business planning, market insights, value-based propositions and growth strategies
- Operate effectively within a matrix organization, aligning stakeholders around shared business objectives
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Medical Devices, Healthcare Technology or Healthcare Services
- Proven experience in marketing, market development, business development or commercial leadership roles
- Fluent English and Spanish (both written and speaking)
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel extensively across Spain and Portugal and occasionally across Europe
Experience in robotic surgery, advanced surgical technologies or capital equipment environments is highly desirable, together with an understanding of healthcare systems, hospital procurement processes and customer engagement within complex healthcare environments.
