Your Skills & Qualifications
- +5 years of experience in fraud risk management in the financial services or payments industries
- Native fluency in Dutch and fluent English (French is a plus)
- A degree in law, criminology, business or a related field
- Experience working in consulting or in a project-based role
- Excellent understanding of fraud risk management, fraud prevention and detection controls, transaction monitoring, and fraud-related regulatory requirements within the financial services sector.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations
- Strong plus if you have a professional certification in fraud examination (i.e., Certified fraud examiner) or financial crime (i.e., CAMS)
What will you do?
As a Fraud Analyst, you will advise clients on fraud risk management and the improvement of fraud prevention, detection and governance practices.Your key responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate fraud trends to provide insights and strategic recommendations that strengthen clients’ fraud risk management frameworks.
- Advise clients on enhancing fraud risk governance, including policies, processes, and control effectiveness across the financial services industry.
- Assess and review fraud detection strategies and technologies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
- Perform gap- and impact assessments to evaluate fraud risk exposure and recommend remediation actions.
- Review and validate fraud detection models and rules for effectiveness and compliance, providing independent assurance rather than operational development.
- Oversee fraud risk-related activities and promote dedicated governance, ensuring accountability and consistency across client processes and controls.
