Job Description
As a Security Officer - Full Time - Mornings in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist with maintaining a secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help address security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access concerns, and policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
