Supplier/Vendor QA Engineer 3 CNC (Metal Machining, VMC & Axis Machines )

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Supplier and Global stakeholders (Supply Chain, Product Group, Manufacturing). This individual would be responsible for managing and executing critical projects, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and meet Quality metrics of Machining commodity. Assess potential Machining component manufacturing suppliers for capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance with industry standards. Leading supplier audits and qualification processes for dual sourcing and NPI initiatives. Collaborate with suppliers to develop, refine, and optimize the component manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Provide technical support in DFM exercise for NPD, proactively evaluate risks in part manufacturing and identify the best solution to develop First Time Right (FTR) parts. Work independently to handle commodity projects like part-regionalization, supplier dual sourcing, and new supplier qualifications. Gains consensus and alignment through design reviews with internal stakeholders. Collaborate cross functionally and globally to execute strategies and clearly communicate across engineering specializations and different levels of the organization for strategy implementation. Bachelor's degree with min. 5 to 10 years or Master degree with min. 3 to 5 years of work experience in Production/Aerospace/ Mechanical/Automobile Engineering dicipline. Proficient in Supplier assessment, evaluation, qualification, and development processes. Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment with cross-functional teams to meet deliverables. Hands-on experience in resolving quality problems related to Metal machining (CNC Turning, VMC 3,4 and 5 axis Machines). Demonstrated ability in problem solving and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodology, GD&T interpretation ASME Y14.5 standard, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience in additive manufacturing will be an added advantage. Prior experience with MS office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.) Develop best practices/best known methods (BKMs) to improve the process Experience in handling suppliers from a remote location.
