Lead Engineer- CAE AI
AI/CAE Application Development
Position Overview
Responsible for advancing the application and deployment of AI in the CAE domain for power tools, with a focus on simulation scenarios such as structural analysis, drop testing, fluid dynamics, and thermal management. By developing surrogate models, automated simulation workflows, and intelligent evaluation tools, this role enables design engineers to obtain rapid performance assessments early in the product development cycle, improving R&D efficiency, optimization capability, and design decision quality.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and develop AI+CAE application scenarios, with a focus on structural analysis, drop testing, fluid dynamics, and thermal management.
- Build surrogate models, rapid prediction models, and intelligent evaluation methods based on simulation and test data.
- Develop lightweight tools for design engineers to enable rapid performance assessment based on 3D models or key parameter inputs.
- Drive automation of CAE pre-processing and post-processing, batch simulations, DOE, and optimization workflows to improve analysis efficiency.
- Establish standardized management mechanisms for simulation, test, and design data to support model training, validation, and continuous iteration.
- Collaborate with design, testing, manufacturing, and digital teams to embed intelligent simulation capabilities into the product development process.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in CAE simulation development, including 5+ years of experience in simulation automation or AI-enabled engineering applications.
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the following areas: structural analysis, drop simulation, fluid analysis, and thermal analysis.
- Proficiency in at least one mainstream CAE software package, such as Abaqus, Ansys, LS-DYNA, Fluent, or STAR-CCM+.
- Proficient in Python and C++, with strong capabilities in data processing, modeling, and automation development.
- Solid foundation in machine learning; experience with surrogate models, DOE, design optimization, or intelligent evaluation tool development is preferred.
- Possesses strong English communication and reading comprehension skills, solid engineering problem-solving and analytical abilities, and proven cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in simulation automation, model calibration, test correlation, or digital twin projects.
- Hands-on experience embedding AI models into design workflows for direct use by design engineers.
