Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Train Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming environment while responding to routine concerns and supporting site operations. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government facility stakeholders by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
