Summary of Essential Functions for the Position:

Committed to Caring, the Director of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for all aspects of the rehabilitation continuum and oversees the delivery of the rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapies.  This position organizes and directs a comprehensive program to ensure quality, cost-effective rehabilitation services. Responsible for the hiring, retention and advancement, quality improvement, adherence to accreditation, state, federal, and licensing standards, and budget management.  May be required to provide patient care in times of urgent need.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of Paraprofessional degree in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Director will be located out of the Corporate offices, and if needed, will work in patient homes, or branches within the organization as needed. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet the essential duties of the position. Must provide evidence of annual TB test and other state-required tests or examinations. Work environment is relatively quiet and can be stressful due to deadlines, multiple tasks and general compliance of law, rules, and regulations.  The position requires visual acuity and dexterity, sitting, standing, some pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 pounds with patient.
