As an Algo Analyst on the Algorithms team in our Tel Aviv office, you’ll play a vital role in using data-driven insights to improve and advance Taboola’s algorithms. You’ll analyze large-scale data, develop meaningful metrics, and uncover opportunities to optimize algorithm performance and business impact. Working at the intersection of data, experimentation, and machine learning, you’ll help shape decisions that influence how billions of users discover content across the open web.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:

5+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Analysis, Product Analysis, quantitative research, or a similar data-driven role.

MSc/PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.

Strong SQL skills, preferably with experience working with large-scale data platforms such as Google BigQuery.

Strong Python skills, including experience using modern LLM-based coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).

Strong statistical background with hands-on experience in experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven analysis.
Bonus points if you have:

Experience with machine learning concepts and techniques, or experience in software development.

Experience with BI tools (such as Tableau or Qlik) or working in internet/mobile companies.
How you’ll make an impact:

Analyze large-scale datasets to generate insights and actionable recommendations that drive algorithm improvements and business decisions.

Develop and define new metrics and KPIs to evaluate product and algorithm performance.

Design and implement advanced analysis tools using Python notebooks, Grafana, and other data analytics solutions.

Conduct statistical analysis and experimentation to uncover opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Own data initiatives and analytical projects from definition through execution, supporting both ongoing and ad-hoc business needs.

Research new methodologies and translate data science concepts into practical solutions that improve Taboola’s algorithms.
