Roles and Responsibilities:

I. Job Summary

To be an Industrial & machining operator to support repair process of GE gas turbine special process in PTG Service Center. In this role, you will be an integral part of our skilled workforce, tasked with the surface preparation and machine operation of gas turbine components to achieve highest quality products by complying to world class safety standards at all times.

Required Skills:

• Capable to inspect & operate vertical lathe machine, horizontal lathe machine, milling machine, or CNC, and to use appropriate measuring tools such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, etc. according to the instruction and with satisfying level of quality such that the Gas Turbine component can be returned to serviceable condition
• Capable to create fixtures and tooling to support repair process, Upkeeping working environment according to the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and company policy
• Understand material specification
• Capable to read engineering drawing
• Capable to weld damaged components with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) method and to inspect the results according to the instruction and with satisfying level of quality such that the components can be returned to serviceable condition
• Capable to use pneumatic-powered tools such as hand or die grinder to for surface preparation and finishing of the components, Upkeeping working environment according to the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and company policy
• Maintaining the condition of the tools, equipment, machineries and workstation of the inspection process to improve process efficiency
• Identify and communicate deviations from the engineering specification during the process with the appropriate communication method to Supervisor, Product Engineer to determine next course of action.
• Capable to do inspection of the job result

Basic Qualification:

• Min. D3 Engineering or Technical High School (SMK) with Mechanical/Aeronautics focus
• Min. 2 years of experience in machining operator
• Having advance machining knowledge & capable to operate vertical lathe machine, drilling machine, horizontal lathe machine and other tooling machine. CNC experience is a plus,
• Understand sleeve bearing, tilt bearing & pad bearing standard.
• 2 years of experience as Babbit welding operator or 2 years experiences and involved in large size bearing refurbishment process.
• Capable to differentiate gas turbine part/components,
• Experienced in using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) method and pneumatic-powered tools (hand grinder, air grinder, belt sander, etc.),
• Capable to follow working procedure and working instruction,
• Capable to read the engineering drawing & understand machining related symbols.
• Capable to use measurement tools on under repair and finished components,
• Be able to do modification job,
• Capable to write a working report,
• Willing to stay in Bandung.
