Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Crystal City, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will support access control and badge processes, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document activities. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, building exteriors, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating and documenting events in accordance with established protocols.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic corporate environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
