ASPIRE LSE Graduate Intern
Positions focused on leading, advancing, developing, and applying science, technology, engineering, information technology, and research and development, to anticipate, innovate, and deliver solutions to Laboratory missions. These positions may involve discovery, design, and development of innovative solutions which advance the state of the art. Positions within the Science and Engineering Career Band typically require a university degree and equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Positions in this sub-family are responsible to provide a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest.
Have educational or laboratory research experience
Think critically, analyze data, and integrate these skills into effective experimental design, execution, and reporting
Develop partnerships with internal team members of different backgrounds
Effectively communicate (verbal & written) technical results
Work safely with particular attention to quality. Comply with all policies and standards.
Minimum
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Be pursuing an advanced degree in chemistry or a related field
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit a transcript prior to hiring
Preferred
Hands-on research experience in a chemical laboratory
Knowledge of environmental chemistry principles.
Experience with analytical techniques such as titration.
Strong analytical, organizational, and scientific communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on experimental research
