Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Multiple Locations

Theranica USA is seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our growing Medical Affairs team. This field-based role serves as a key medical and scientific resource responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based clinical education and engaging in meaningful peer-to-peer scientific exchange across a large geographical territory.

The MSL will support clinical understanding and appropriate utilization of Theranica products, including our flagship remote electrical neuromodulation (REN) wearable device, Nerivio®, as payer access and market adoption continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-volume, in-depth clinical education and scientific exchange programs to healthcare professionals (MDs, DOs, RNs, NPs, PAs, APPs, etc.) through both field-based and virtual engagements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical data, mechanism of action, indications, technical product information, and relevant disease states.
  • Communicate timely, accurate, balanced, and compliant scientific and clinical information regarding Nerivio and related evidence.
  • Respond compliantly to clinician inquiries, including unsolicited off-label questions.
  • Build and maintain strong peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare providers, KOLs, and medical experts throughout the territory.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and lead educational initiatives designed to strengthen clinical understanding and engagement.
  • Represent Medical Affairs at national, regional, and local conferences; support scientific exchange activities and provide internal conference insights and summaries.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Clinical R&D, and commercial teams on scientific initiatives, advisory boards, speaker programs, congress activities, and educational efforts.
  • Partner with Nerivio and Government Account Managers during joint provider engagements to deliver appropriate scientific and clinical support.
  • Support Clinical R&D initiatives through field insight collection, evidence generation opportunities, and identification/recruitment of medical collaborators.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of activities, insights, and follow-up actions within approved systems and compliance standards.
  • Engage in continuous learning within the therapeutic area and operate consistently with company values, Medical Affairs standards, and all regulatory/compliance requirements.


Qualifications & Requirements -

Education & Experience

  • Advanced clinical/scientific degree or healthcare professional credentials required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, or equivalent).
  • Neurology experience required; headache/migraine experience strongly preferred.
  • Existing relationships and networks within the neurology/KOL community preferred.
  • Prior field-based MSL experience preferred.
  • VA system clinical experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of applicable industry, legal, and regulatory compliance requirements within Medical Affairs.

  • Strong scientific acumen with the ability to communicate clinical data effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, verbal, and active listening skills.
  • Strong organizational and execution abilities, including territory planning and consistent follow-through.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel extensively (>50%) by car and air, including overnight and occasional weekend travel for conference coverage.
  • Candidates must reside within the assigned region and near a major airport.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
