Pay: Starting at $14.00/hour+ (Higher pay available based on experience)
Job Summary
We are hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate industrial sewing machines to assemble, stitch, and finish products according to customer specifications while maintaining high quality and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial sewing equipment, excellent attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew, stitch, and assemble materials according to work orders and production specifications.
- Read and interpret shop orders, sewing instructions, and patterns.
- Select the appropriate thread, needles, and stitch settings for each job.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain production goals while producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and routine preventative maintenance.
- Identify and report machine issues or product defects.
- Measure, prepare, and position materials before sewing.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and standard operating practices.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial sewing machine experience preferred.
- Experience with Juki, Barudan, or similar industrial sewing machines is a plus.
- Ability to read work instructions and follow detailed production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate sewing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Good vision to inspect products for quality and accuracy.
