Workplace AI - Claude Strategy and Governance - Senior Consultant
CAPGEMINI INVENT
At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. With over 2,300 inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. The AI & Digital Workplace tribe within our Business Technology practice empowers clients to redefine how work gets done – transforming collaboration, productivity, and employee experience through AI and digital technology, and organisational change. We work at the intersection of people, processes, and platforms to drive sustainable behavioural and cultural shifts.
We help clients move beyond technology deployment to workforce transformation. Drawing on deep expertise in change management and AI strategy, we help organisations accelerate adoption of frontier AI such as Anthropic’s Claude, realise measurable business value and build sustainable AI-enabled ways of working.
YOUR ROLE
As Claude Strategy & Governance Consultant you will help our clients set the strategic direction for Anthropic’s Claude in the workplace and, critically, define the governance and cost control that lets them scale it safely. You will operate at the intersection of technology strategy, operating model design, FinOps and AI governance, translating a fast-moving product roadmap into decisions senior leaders can trust. In this role you will play a key part in:
- Setting the Claude strategy: Shaping a clear strategic vision for Claude in the enterprise – spanning Claude Chat, Cowork and Claude Code, and the projects, skills and connectors that make them useful – aligned to security, data and automation capabilities, and to the Microsoft estate many clients run alongside it.
- Defining the license to operate model: Designing the governance frameworks, guardrails and ‘licence to operate’ models that give clients the confidence to deploy Claude at pace, and applying them in practice.
- Building the cost and value picture: Helping build the consumption model, token allowances and benefits tracking that keep spend defensible and prove the return.
- Leading complex engagements: Leading complex engagements: Owning delivery excellence on Claude strategy and governance workstreams, escalating and de-risking complex situations as the technology evolves.
- Growing the practice: Helping develop the Claude portfolio and client relationships to generate new opportunities and revenue, and coaching colleagues towards high performance and a positive culture.
As part of your role, you will also be expected to drive the following activities:
Client Advisory and Delivery
- Strategy and Vision: Support AI strategy and transformation engagements, helping organisations develop roadmaps, identify workforce productivity opportunities, define future operating models and prioritise investments in frontier AI capabilities. Translate a fast-moving Claude roadmap (Cowork, Claude Code, skills, connectors and managed agents) into advice on what to prioritise, sequence, pilot or hold.
- Deployment Pathways: Advise on the enterprise deployment routes for Claude and the trade-offs each carries. Set the options out clearly, with the rationale, so senior stakeholders can decide.
- Licensing and Token Management: Advise on Claude commercial models and licence allocation. Help build the consumption model that makes this affordable at scale, and the FinOps routine of reporting, forecasting and right-sizing.
- Operating Model: Design and implement AI operating models that define how organisations govern, support and scale Claude adoption at pace and securely, establishing clear ownership, decision rights, accountabilities and service management structures across the enterprise.
- Governance Frameworks: Define and implement enterprise AI governance and licence-to-operate frameworks that enable safe, scalable adoption of Claude through effective oversight, responsible AI practices, risk management and compliance guardrails.
- Governance in Practice: Operationalise governance so it is lived rather than shelved – standing up governance forums, control gates, approval processes for models, connectors and skills, and the monitoring and review cadences that keep pace as the estate grows. Advise on how this is administered day to day, covering organisation and workspace structure, single sign-on and provisioning, roles and permissions, data retention, and the audit and usage reporting that feeds governance.
- Value Definition and Benefits Tracking: Help define value up front and then track it.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Drive executive engagement and value communications activities, helping senior stakeholders communicate the vision for AI, demonstrate outcomes and align business, technology and risk leaders around Claude adoption.
In summary you will be required to:
- Drive client workshops and transformation workstreams.
- Manage small consulting teams and workstreams.
- Develop high-quality client deliverables and recommendations.
- Facilitate discussions with business, technology and change stakeholders.
- Translate complex AI concepts into practical business outcomes.
