SUPO, where required)Why this role matters:As a Software AIT Engineer, you play a vital role in bridging software development and hardware integration at ICEYE. You will lead satellite-level verification and validation campaigns, integrate flight software with satellite subsystems, and develop automated test frameworks to ensure functional readiness. Your day-to-day responsibilitiesExecute satellite-level verification and validation (V&V) campaigns, focusing on functional software operations and system healthLead the integration of flight software with satellite subsystems (avionics, power, RF, thermal), ensuring seamless interoperabilityDevelop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance efficiency, repeatability, and coverage across functional and environmental test campaignsAct as primary technical contact for software-related integration issues, performing root cause analysis and coordinating with software engineering to resolve anomaliesSupport production readiness and design reviews (PRR, CDR) by providing feedback on software testability, hardware-in-the-loop requirements, and system configurationContribute to and improve AIT documentation including software test procedures, integration plans, and configuration recordsInterface with Global AIT, Software Engineering, and Mission Operations teams to ensure alignment on product standards and lessons learnedDrive continuous improvement initiatives in integration methods, test efficiency, and build reliabilityWhat we’re looking forMust haves:5+ years of hands-on experience in integration, testing, or production of complex systems -- preferably in aerospace or high-reliability hardware industriesStrong proficiency in Python scripting and automation for test development and data analysisProven experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments with a focus on system-level validationDeep technical understanding of satellite architectures including command and data handling (C&DH), avionics, or communication subsystemsFamiliarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, environmental testing (EMC, vibration, thermal), and configuration managementSystems engineering mindset -- able to anticipate integration risks and connect software logic, hardware interfaces, and mission operationsProficient English (written and spoken) for cross-functional collaborationNice to haves:Experience with Atlassian Cloud tools (Jira, Confluence)Track record of enabling design-for-testability (DFT) and...
