Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA)

Fort Meade, MDFull-time$135k–$216kPosted Jul 28, 2026

Responsibilities

The hardest intelligence problems don't yield to intuition alone — they require rigorous quantitative analysis, disciplined methodology, and the judgment to translate data into decisions. Peraton is seeking an Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to support USCYBERCOM J2 at Fort Meade, MD, applying advanced decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, data mining, and modeling and simulation to address the command's most pressing operational and planning challenges.

In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of intelligence and quantitative analysis — providing unique, timely assessments on operationally-focused issues that directly inform senior leadership decisions. You'll collaborate with analysts and planners across the J2 enterprise, integrating ORSA methodologies into intelligence production and supporting the development and execution of Strategic and Operational assessments.

This is a senior-level role for a professional who brings both the technical depth to build rigorous analytical frameworks and the operational judgment to make them matter in a fast-moving command environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and apply decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, data mining, modeling and simulation, and other analytic methods to address operational and planning challenges
  • Combine quantitative methods with military and/or IC judgment to facilitate senior leadership decisions
  • Provide unique and timely analysis on pressing, operationally-focused issues using multi-source data and interdisciplinary techniques
  • Support development and execution of intelligence support to Strategic and Operational assessments
  • Develop and present analytical products and briefings to USCYBERCOM staff and senior leadership
  • Collaborate with analysts and planners to integrate ORSA methodologies into intelligence production
  • Identify and apply innovative analytical approaches to complex intelligence problems
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) requiring ORSA expertise
  • Document Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives
