The Amazon University Talent Aquisition Team (AUTA) is looking for ambitious Graduates to join us at the heart of our core consumer business. The Financial Analyst will work closely with multiple Pan EU teams within our Category Excellence organization such as Inventory, Management, Planning, Pricing and Operations to streamline our reporting and controlling processes. We are looking for someone who can go beyond reporting and tell the story behind the numbers and propose corrective actions.

Key job responsibilities
• Collecting, analyzing and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions
• Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data
• Assist with development, and implementation of policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
• Assist in the development of all weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation and improving the use and ease of interpretation by your business partners
• Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely
• Analysis of tax law and application to Amazon’s facts and filing requirements.

A day in the life
You will learn how Finance supports the various business teams in forecasting and analyzing actual financial results, managing the external reporting of Amazon’s quarterly financial statements and inputting to the launch of new customer-focused initiatives to ensure customers can find and discover anything and everything they want online.

Basic qualifications

- In final year of study for Bachelor's or Master’s degree, or graduated in the last 12 months
- Studies within Engineering, Commerce, Business administration or similar field

Preferred qualifications

- Fluent written and verbal communication in English
- Knowledge in MS Office programs as Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical skills
- Planning, prioritization and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate efficiently •Strong attention to detail
- Experience in financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, consulting, negotiation or supply chain is a plus
- Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML is a plus
