The Opportunity:

What if you could employ your intelligence expertise and knowledge to assist in the integration of Defense and National Intelligence support capabilities? As an intelligence planner, you will use your specialized regional and functional experience and your attention to detail to assist in the development of campaign plans, contingency plans, crisis management options, and time-sensitive plans in accordance with the Advanced Planning and Execution System (APEX). If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters.  

  

As an Intelligence Planner on our team, you’ll assist in developing campaign plans, contingency plans, crisis management options, time-sensitive planning, and assessments in accordance with the Advanced Planning and Execution System. Additionally, planners assist with intelligence operations feasibility assessments within the planning process. You’ll work as part of an intelligence planning team and ensure intelligence equities are integrated into strategic and operational-level military planning and execution. You will help document intelligence resourcing gaps and shortfalls, develop mitigation strategies, integrate intelligence products and services supporting the Joint Planning Process (JPP), and synchronize the intelligence cycle supporting collection, analysis, production, and targeting. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with intelligence planning, including at the Combatant Command level

  • 2+ years of experience at a Combatant Command, National-level Intelligence Agency, or Service Component  

  • Experience with joint and combined, multi-domain operations planning, including campaign and contingency planning and developing and maintaining base plans, annexes, appendices, and tabs     

  • Experience with National Intelligence Support Plans, the Joint Staff, and Combat Support Agencies, participating in joint working groups and forums, and briefing senior defense and intelligence officials  

  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and its inputs and outputs, including JIPOE, Center of Gravity Analysis, Enemy Courses of Action, and Annex Bs  

  • Knowledge of IC-standard intelligence and production tools, databases, techniques, and platforms and planning and executing a Component or Joint Exercise Program  

  • Knowledge of the Five Stages of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and Joint, Bilateral, and Multilateral exercises

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience with intelligence planning, operations, or analysis, or 10+ years of experience with intelligence planning, operations, or analysis in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and military decision-making process  

  • Experience with foreign planning, theater campaign strategies, and organizational leadership  

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Office 365  

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidently interfacing with leadership  

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Master's degree

  • Joint Intelligence Planner – I Certification

  • Completion of a DoD Intelligence Planning Course

  • Completion of Joint Professional Military Education Phase I or II

  • Completion of Advanced Intermediate Level Education, including SAW, SAMS, SAASS, MAWS, JAWS, or BSAP

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
