Meta Supplier Development Engineering team is looking for a supplier development engineer to be responsible for overall quality and manufacturing process development within the supply chain on Cable and Connector modules. This role requires a quality and manufacturing engineering background with the ability to independently manage workstreams across multiple concurrent development programs.<br><br>Supplier Development Engineer, EE/EM Responsibilities:<br><br><ul><li>The Supplier Development Engineer will be responsible for overall Electrical/Electromechanical modules manufacturing process development and readiness within the supply chain</li><li>Drive Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) activities with vendors and provide technical support in enhancing process capability and solving technical issues</li><li>Identify equipment, fixture, and tooling needs and drive implementation efforts to qualify and optimize the manufacturing process</li><li>Establish quality and process control plans at vendors for early detection of issues and to ensure quality and reliability targets are consistently met</li><li>Responsible for conducting Design/Process FMEA, Failure analysis, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control</li><li>Bring up and qualify the production line through DOEs, Line qualification, Machine Buy-off, Cycle Time & UPH studies, and Automation</li><li>Evaluate prospective vendors for process capability based on project needs, then be a major part of supplier identification and selection</li><li>Publish concise reports on module yield performance, specification convergence status</li><li>drive Failure analysis, Corrective Action implementation plan, and yield bridge to mass production</li><li>Collaborate with Suppliers and Engineering teams in assessing, proposing, and developing process technologies based on project requirements<br><br></li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering</li><li>5+ years of working experience in cable and connector industries. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing process design and supplier quality management</li><li>Hands-on experience in EE/EM modules manufacturing process development with an understanding of equipment and methodologies commonly used in the industry</li><li>Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, GR&R, DoE, metrology, GD&T, and Correlation studies</li><li>Experience with the typical failure mode and its corresponding failure analysis methodology</li><li>Experience with the reliability test plan to do quality risk assessment for Cable and Connector at component level</li><li>Experience communicating technical findings to cross-functional teams and collaborating with suppliers and internal engineering stakeholders to resolve manufacturing issues</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% to vendors at different locations<br><br></li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li>Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering</li><li>Experience with the optical cable manufacturing process and testing methodology</li><li>Knowledgeable in the plating stack up solution proposal for required anti-corrosion performance on connector</li><li>Have hands-on experience on other EE/EM modules quality and manufacturing management, such as Antenna, Fan and Audio etc</li><li>Experience independently driving workstreams and delivering results with minimal supervision</li><li>Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies</li><li>Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)<br><br></li></ul>About Meta:<br><br>Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
