Serves as the primary Video Production Coordinator with backup responsibilities for print media. Serves as the primary Video Production Coordinator and provides photography video, audio visual support services, graphics, and products in support of administrative and public affairs purposes. Emphasis is on strong video and graphic design background to plan, coordinate and produce computer-generated video, electronic, graphic, photographic, presentation and print materials. The duties of the Audiovisual Product Specialist GS-1071 includes but is not limited to: Develops video marketing campaigns/initiatives in support of Public Affairs and strategic communication needs. Produces quality short and long video products for use in informational campaigns and for posting on internal facility monitors, social media, public webpage and other media. Possess knowledge of video editing software to inserting photos, graphics and perform other post-production functions. Meets with customers for all multi-media projects. Plans and participates in the coordination of the assignment, and post critique of the assignment for evaluation purposes. Manages staging of limited productions - video and photo shoots - including basic knowledge of sound, lighting, set design, and use of teleprompter application. Creates, updates, and maintains facility library of all finished video products and video b-roll. Coordinates with internal partners to support activities related to meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other collaborative events, and ensures the artistic integrity of each project. Performs duties in a manner supportive of a safe and healthy work environment, and exercises safety precautions when exposed to dangerous objects, chemicals, extreme temperatures, etc. Manages operation, storage and maintenance of all cameras, lenses and other accessories associated with those cameras. Responsible for set up/tear down and operation of AV equipment when needed for large conferences, meetings and VANIHCS hosted events. Facilitates customer service standards by providing a customer friendly environment and meeting timelines. Develops and creates visual information products with PC / Mac platforms applying desktop publishing software program applications in the Adobe Creative Cloud, with expertise in InDesign and Illustrator and a working knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Spark and Acrobat. Operates multiple devices to create visual information products including Mac and PC hardware platforms, still photo and video capable digital cameras, large scale printers, and lamination machines, and other devices as needed. Produces quality visual information products-fact sheets, brochures, newsletters, reports, presentations-using graphic design and formatting software. Ability to use photo-editing software for basic tasks such as cropping, resizing, color adjustment, and formatting.
