Introduction:

The AI Product Management Intern contributes within the product portfolio team to design, build, and refine an AI-assisted process for capturing, organizing, and reusing product requirements across the product lifecycle. This intern will help create a repeatable framework that allows new product concepts to start from a validated baseline of prior requirements, rather than starting from scratch each time, while ensuring nothing is missed when a clean-sheet approach is required. The role also involves shaping how requirements are structured and documented so they translate cleanly into tools such as Jira for downstream engineering and program management consumption.

Must Have:

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM tools (e.g., prompt engineering, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) applied to document analysis, summarization, or knowledge management.
  • Strong organizational skills with an interest in process design, documentation, and information architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and document current-state practices for how product requirements are gathered, stored, and reused across product teams.
  • Design and prototype an AI-assisted process/tool to collect, tag, and organize product requirements as a reusable baseline for new product concepts.
  • Define a taxonomy and structure for requirement “cuts” or snapshots that can be pulled from prior products at the start of new product conception.
  • Build in safeguards (checklists, templates, or AI-assisted gap analysis) to ensure that if a team does start from scratch, no critical requirement categories are missed.
  • Evaluate how requirements should be structured and formatted for clean hand-off into project and issue-tracking tools such as Jira (e.g., epics, stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Partner with product managers, TPMs, and engineering stakeholders to pilot the process on a live or recent product example.
  • Document the process, tooling, and recommendations in a format suitable for broader team and leadership review.
  • Learn about TGCS product offerings and how requirements move from concept through delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field in Undergraduate or Graduate Studies.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, strong writing skills, and comfort synthesizing information from multiple sources.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools for document processing, summarization, or workflow automation.
  • Experience with or exposure to Jira or similar project/requirements management tools.
  • Familiarity with product management concepts (PRDs, user stories, requirements traceability).
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to support tool prototyping.
  • Experience with data organization tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Airtable, or similar knowledge-management platforms.
