About the Role
Good engineering is not done only at a desk. Some of the most important answers are found on the production floor, where materials, machines, settings and people meet in real production. In this role, you will work with that reality every day.
As Development Engineer in NOV's Extrusion Process Team, you will help develop, improve and troubleshoot the extrusion processes behind some of the world's most advanced flexible pipe systems. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Projects and R&D to understand technical challenges, find the root causes and turn good ideas into reliable solutions in production.
Previous extrusion experience is an advantage, but it is not a requirement. We are looking for an engineer who is curious, structured and willing to learn. Someone who asks why, who enjoys complex problems, and who wants to understand how a manufacturing process really behaves before deciding how to improve it.
About NOV
NOV is a global leader in the design and production of advanced flexible pipe systems. With manufacturing facilities in Denmark and Brazil and a robust global engineering network, we are committed to technical innovation, quality, and operational excellence.
What We Offer
- A skilled international team with a strong focus on extrusion, manufacturing technology and practical problem solving.
- A role where your work is visible in real production and contributes directly to safety, quality, productivity and process robustness.
- Technical challenges that require both analytical thinking and hands-on validation on the production floor.
- Close collaboration with colleagues across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Projects and R&D.
- The opportunity to influence manufacturing performance across our production sites in Denmark and Brazil.
- Professional development in a highly specialized area with long-term importance for NOV's flexible pipe production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and standardize extrusion processes to improve safety, quality, productivity and process robustness.
- Lead technical investigations of complex production deviations together with Quality, Operations and Maintenance, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Support the introduction of new equipment and ensure new technology is transferred successfully into production.
- Work across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Projects and R&D to solve technical challenges and improve manufacturing performance.
- Validate ideas through practical trials, data analysis and close interaction with the production floor.
- Share knowledge across our manufacturing sites in Denmark and Brazil and travel internationally when required, typically 0-2 trips per year.
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Manufacturing or a related Engineering discipline.
- You enjoy analysing technical problems and finding practical solutions.
- You are naturally curious and interested in understanding how manufacturing processes really work.
- You are comfortable working independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams, including direct interaction with the production floor.
- You communicate clearly in English and can explain technical topics to colleagues from different functions and backgrounds.
- You take a structured and quality-conscious approach to technical work and documentation.
Preferred
- Experience with extrusion or other continuous manufacturing processes.
- Experience with process improvement, production troubleshooting or Root Cause Analysis.
- Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Why Join Us?
At NOV, your ideas do not stay on the drawing board. They are tested, challenged and used in production. You will join a team that values technical curiosity, practical problem solving and knowledge sharing, and where good engineering is measured by how well it works in real life.
If you want a role where you continue learning, work on technically demanding challenges and see the impact of your solutions in production, we would like to hear from you.
