Principal Software Business Manager, License Sales

The Principal Software Business Manager, License Sales will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving frameworks, tools, and operational motions needed to optimize the License Sales business strategy to deliver critical capabilities necessary to drive new seat growth and reduce churn. This role will enable decision making at the most senior levels of T&M Software and will require frequent collaboration with global and regional senior leaders. You will be responsible for keeping License Sales operational plans aligned to Software strategic priorities and growth plans. You will collaborate across disciplines and global teams to drive the execution of a growth vision and differentiated features that make a meaningful difference to the specific metrics. In addition, you will leverage your expertise to improve the overall License Sales capabilities for experimentation and growth across the T&M division by taking a proactive approach, strong ownership mindset, and commitment.

 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Own operational plans alongside functional leaders to ensure T&M is growing the License Sales business with tactics across three key areas:

    • Commercial Infrastructure to generate and convert demand

    • Product Value and Packaging to win new & churned customers

    • Go-to-Market with regional focus & route-to-market optimization

  • Drive business analytics based on judgment, market understanding, problem solving, and fact-based analysis to identify, prioritize, structure, and solve business challenges

  • Key business partner in developing long term strategic plan and annual plan, as well as maintaining an accurate quarterly, annual, and long-term forecast

  • Bring together regional, go-to-market, Sales, and business teams to drive the best process and planning outcomes

 

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration in a highly matrixed and complex environment

  • Excellent communicator with strong presentations skills, showing ease with executive-level interactions - ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to highlight insights and impactful recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner

  • Organized and detail-oriented; exhibiting solid planning and project management skills while leading multiple simultaneous projects

  • Creativity and “out of the box” thinking that drives innovation with the ability to “see around corners” and “connect the dots” that enable business to proactively drive business, not just respond to it

  • Self-starter with initiative, comfort with ambiguity and interest in being part of a fast paced, high impact team; willingness and ability to travel on a limited basis (10 percent or less)

  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, and bring energy and accountability to your work while delivering on commitments

  • Familiarity with financial reporting metrics and operational performance indicators

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • BA / BS Required

  • 8+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles

  • Exceptional analytical skills and clear thinking; experience building scalable models and processes.

  • Equally comfortable with independent tasks and collaborative projects

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
