The main responsibility of a Production Trainer is to maximize the organization’s resources to build a productive, efficient, and well-trained workforce. To accomplish this goal, the Trainer works with site leadership to create and deliver development plans, administer, and facilitate training, manage and maintain training records, including certification status and history.
The Trainer also introduces ADI policies and procedures to new employees and vendors, as they lead regular New Hire and Contractor Orientation sessions. They also represent ADI Training, during internal and customer audits, as well as hosting introductory meetings and site tours for off-site employees or other visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with site leadership to determine and communicate individual training needs
- Communicate the correct information and handle any questions from trainees
- Instruct employee training and onboarding
- Critically examine the trainees’ understanding and progress, then make necessary adjustments to the training plan and program
- Create and maintain all training materials
- Track and compile collected training data, both electronically and physical paperwork
- Experience of managing projects defining scope, tracking milestones and Time to Contribution.
- Design on the job training plan for each work centre (Timebound/Milestone achievement)
- Effective communication and presentation Skills
- Work to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
- Ability to build relationships and effective partnerships at all levels of the business
- Liaise with Managers and Supervisors on the needs and demands of an expanding manufacturing footprint
- Thinks Lean and embeds this philosophy in day-to-day practices
- End of training F2F assessment of New Hires
- Experience updating and managing compliance tools i.e., Questionmark/Star
- Track all training Metrics
- Ongoing Admin of Versatility Matrix and communicate cross training needs to each Supervisor
- Lockout/Recertification review and weekly communication updates
- New Tool installs preparation and training roll out plan, design, and communication
- Track contribution Matrix for all New and Current employees
- Subject Matter Expert on Multiple work centres
- Other Manufacturing responsibilities as they are identified by management
