Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced SAP CO-PA Consultant to support strategic SAP initiatives focused on Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). This professional will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to ensure the effective utilization of SAP CO-PA functionalities and their integration with other financial and logistics modules.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in SAP CO-PA, strong functional expertise, analytical skills, and experience working in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Functional expertise in SAP Controlling‑Profitability Analysis (CO‑PA), including both costing‑based and account‑based CO‑PA
  • Experience configuring CO‑PA structures such as characteristics, value fields, derivation rules, and operating concerns
  • Ability to design and implement end‑to‑end CO‑PA solutions aligned with financial and business reporting needs
  • Hands‑on experience with integration points across FI, CO, SD, MM, and COPC
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA CO‑PA concepts, Universal Journal, and real‑time integration
  • Experience writing functional specifications for reports, enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments
  • Ability to analyze profitability data and support business teams with CO‑PA reporting and decision‑making
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting CO‑PA issues, reconciliation, and month‑end closing activities
  • Experience with SAP tools such as CDS views, Fiori apps, and modern reporting frameworks
  • Ability to work with cross‑functional teams, gather requirements, and translate business needs into system solutions
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Experience in full life‑cycle SAP implementations, upgrades, or S/4HANA migrations
  • Knowledge of SAP Best Practices and ability to guide business teams on standard solutions
  • Understanding of costing, pricing, profitability drivers, and financial performance analysis
  • Advanced English

Preferred technical and professional experience

• SAP FIN Controlling Configuration: Exposure to designing and configuring SAP FIN Controlling solutions, including leveraging knowledge of the latest technologies to meet client needs.

• Packaged Technology Integration: Exposure to integrating packaged technology solutions, utilizing business and industry knowledge to achieve client expectations.

• Business Process Analysis: Exposure to analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
