  1. To lead on the development of all talent and support Recruitment Managers by providing insight on player progress
  2. To lead on the organisation, management and setup of practices at your relevant centre 

Requirements

The Pre-Academy & Development Centre Head Coach must have: 
  • Experience working in a sports participation-based environment 
  • Experience of managing projects coaching football to young people, specifically primary school aged children.
  • Experience working as an individual as well as part of a team. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Hold a UEFA C License/FA Level 2 Coaching in Football
  • FA First Aid Qualification
  • FA Safeguarding Children in Football Qualification
 
Ideally, the Pre-Academy & Development Centre Head will: 
  • Have worked in a Pre-Academy or Academy Development Centre
  • Have worked in an Academy setting
  • Have completed FA Talent ID Level 1 in Introduction to Scouting 
  • Have experience working in Scouting & Talent Identification

Responsibilities

The following is a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities of the role:
  • To ensure the high quality co-ordination and smooth operational running of the session you lead at your respective Pre-Academy or development centre session.
 
  • To ensure the deployment of appropriate football & sports coaches onto sessions. 
 
  • To collaborate effectively with the relevant Recruitment Manager manager to ensure a safe and fun programme for our young players. 
 
  • When required, to effectively support the running and development of the clubs Pre Academy at Motspur Park. 
 
  • To collaborate effectively with the wider academy team, driving high standards, sharing best practice and establishing strong opportunities for participant transitions between programmes. 
 
  • To identify talent and organise coach delivery at your centre or session, whilst attending any mandatory meetings. 
 
  • To manage registers, databases and spectators at the venue and provide feedback to parents when appropriate. 
 
  • To safeguard all personnel when the centre is running and correctly dismiss and welcome children upon arrival.
