Responsibilities
LMI is seeking a skilled COMSEC Specialist to manage communications security material, equipment, and processes supporting a network of technical communications facilities. This individual will ensure proper accounting, handling, and safeguarding of COMSEC material across multiple locations.
Primary duties include:
- Manage COMSEC account operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and destruction of COMSEC material.
- Maintain COMSEC accounting records in accordance with applicable directives.
- Support COMSEC equipment installation, keying, and maintenance across facility locations.
- Conduct COMSEC training and awareness for program personnel.
- Support COMSEC inspections and audits.
Location: This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations.
Travel: This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of COMSEC management experience, including COMSEC custodian responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of COMSEC accounting and handling procedures.
- Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.
Nice to Have:
- Formal COMSEC Custodian training/certification.
- Experience supporting COMSEC operations across multiple facility locations.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.
TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
