About the Role
The Product Manager for Next Generation Donor Experience leads a strategic digital product portfolio focused on transforming how BioLife acquires, engages, retains, and supports donors throughout their lifecycle.
This role partners closely with BioLife Marketing, Commercial Plasma Portfolio teams, Technology, Data & AI teams, Technical Operations, and external partners to define and execute a multi-year roadmap for donor engagement capabilities, digital experience innovation, personalization, and intelligent decisioning.
A key focus of this role is helping BioLife evolve toward intelligence-driven engagement by leveraging customer insights, behavioral analytics, predictive modeling, personalization technologies, journey orchestration, and emerging AI capabilities. Working closely with Data Science and Analytics teams, this leader will help operationalize predictive insights and next-best-action recommendations within donor-facing products, marketing journeys, and digital experiences.
The Associate Director will serve as the bridge between marketing strategy and technical execution - ensuring donor intelligence, analytics, personalization, and engagement capabilities are translated into actionable product investments that drive measurable donor and business outcomes.
How You Will Contribute
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Partner with BioLife Marketing leadership and key stakeholders to define and execute a multi-year donor engagement strategy and product roadmap aligned to business objectives and growth priorities.
- Co-own the vision, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of donor-facing digital products and engagement capabilities with Marketing stakeholders.
- Establish product strategies that improve donor acquisition, activation, engagement, loyalty, retention, and donor lifetime value.
- Translate business objectives, customer needs, market opportunities, and emerging technology capabilities into actionable digital product investments and measurable outcomes.
- Balance customer needs, business priorities, technical feasibility, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines when making product decisions.
Customer Intelligence, Analytics & Personalization
- Partner with Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, and Technology teams to translate customer intelligence, behavioral insights, and predictive analytics into differentiated donor experiences and digital engagement capabilities.
- Define product requirements and roadmap priorities for personalization, audience activation, intelligent decisioning, customer intelligence, and engagement optimization capabilities.
- Ensure behavioral, lifecycle, eligibility, preference, and engagement signals are effectively incorporated into digital experiences and donor journeys.
- Drive the evolution of customer intelligence capabilities that support donor acquisition, conversion, retention, reactivation, loyalty, and lifetime value growth.
- Collaborate with Analytics teams to identify opportunities where data and customer insights can improve donor experiences and business performance.
Next-Best-Action & Intelligent Decisioning
- Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams to operationalize next-best-action models that leverage customer behavior, predictive analytics, business rules, and engagement signals.
- Translate predictive model outputs into actionable product capabilities, personalized recommendations, decisioning frameworks, and donor engagement experiences.
- Define business requirements, success measures, experimentation strategies, and adoption plans for intelligent recommendation and decisioning capabilities.
- Collaborate with Marketing teams to ensure recommendations align with donor engagement objectives, business priorities, operational realities, compliance requirements, and customer needs.
- Establish with Marketing governance and measurement approaches to evaluate recommendation effectiveness, donor outcomes, adoption, business value, and continuous optimization.
- Co-Drive test-and-learn programs that continuously improve personalization, decisioning effectiveness, and donor engagement outcomes.
Digital Experience & Omni-Channel Journey Orchestration
- Define and deliver omni-channel journey orchestration capabilities across web, mobile, email, SMS, and emerging engagement channels.
- Enable personalized donor experiences through dynamic content decisioning, audience targeting, journey optimization, and behavioral engagement strategies.
- Drive web and mobile personalization capabilities using modular content, audience segmentation, behavioral signals, experimentation frameworks, and experience optimization.
- Partner with Marketing and Customer Experience teams to create highly personalized engagement models that meet donor needs throughout the donor lifecycle.
- Apply customer-centric design principles and journey thinking to continuously improve donor experiences, engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Product Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Work collaboratively with Technology, Data & Analytics, Operations, Marketing, Privacy, Compliance, and external partners to deliver integrated customer-centric solutions.
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams in translating business priorities into product features, capabilities, releases, and measurable outcomes.
- Support product lifecycle management from concept and roadmap development through delivery, adoption, optimization, and value realization.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, business value, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor Product Owners while fostering a strong customer-centric product culture focused on innovation, accountability, and measurable results.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Technology, Digital Marketing, Digital Product Management, Customer Experience, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Business (MBA), Data Science, Information Management, Marketing Analytics, or a related field
- Direct Experience in healthcare, life sciences, retail health, pharmacy, blood or plasma donation, financial services, or another regulated customer-engagement environment required
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of customer engagement, digital marketing, personalization, and measurable growth outcomes such as acquisition, retention, loyalty, and lifetime value.
Product Leadership
- Strong product management expertise across strategy, roadmap development, execution, delivery, lifecycle management, and value realization.
- Proven ability to create customer-centric digital experiences across web, mobile, and emerging digital engagement channels.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Marketing, Technology, Product, Analytics, Operations, and external partners.
- Ability to translate business objectives into product strategies, roadmaps, operating models, and measurable outcomes.
Customer Intelligence, Personalization & Analytics
- Experience working with customer intelligence, customer data platforms, behavioral analytics, customer segmentation, journey orchestration, personalization, and engagement optimization capabilities.
- Ability to translate customer insights, behavioral signals, predictive analytics, segmentation strategies, and business objectives into scalable product capabilities and measurable outcomes.
- Experience partnering with Data Science and Analytics teams to operationalize predictive models, recommendation capabilities, advanced analytics, or AI-driven decisioning within customer experiences.
- Experience enabling omni-channel engagement strategies through audience activation, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and customer experience optimization.
- Understanding of experimentation methodologies, measurement frameworks, attribution concepts, and continuous optimization practices.
Next-Best-Action, AI & Decisioning
- Experience implementing or supporting next-best-action capabilities, intelligent recommendations, or decisioning frameworks that combine customer insights, predictive analytics, and business rules.
- Understanding of predictive modeling concepts, recommendation engines, behavioral analytics, AI-driven decisioning, machine learning applications, and emerging agentic technologies.
- Ability to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring predictive insights are transformed into practical product capabilities that deliver measurable value.
- Familiarity with governance, measurement, monitoring, and optimization practices associated with analytics-driven engagement programs.
Marketing Technology & Platforms
- Experience with CRM platforms, customer data platforms, journey orchestration, marketing automation, analytics, and digital engagement technologies.
- Experience with Salesforce ecosystem capabilities including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, personalization, and digital engagement technologies preferred.
- Understanding of multi-touch attribution, customer engagement measurement, performance analytics, and ROI frameworks.
- Proficient in Agile, SDLC, DevSecOps, and digital product management methodologies.
- Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, etc.) preferred.
Leadership Expectations
As an Associate Director, you will serve as a strategic product leader responsible for advancing the future of donor engagement through intelligent, data-driven experiences. You will influence decisions across Marketing, Marketing and Commercial Technology, Data & Analytics, and Operations organizations while helping establish a modern donor engagement ecosystem centered around personalization, intelligent decisioning, customer intelligence, and AI-enabled engagement capabilities.
Success in this role will depend on your ability to:
- Define and execute a compelling donor engagement product roadmap.
- Align Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, Operations, and Technology teams around a shared engagement vision.

$154,400.00 - $242,550.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
