Senior Manager Individual Business Communications

In this role, you will own and operationalize integrated communications strategies across our individual business, ensuring colleagues and field audiences receive timely, relevant, and actionable information that advances business priorities. Working closely with the Head of Individual Business Communications, you will lead planning, governance, content strategy, and delivery for programmatic colleague communications and field communications across advisors and field teams.

You will serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior business stakeholders, interpreting complex priorities, recommending communication approaches, and guiding message development, channel strategy, sequencing, and activation. This role requires strong judgment, autonomy, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners while translating business strategy into clear, audience-centered communications.

You are

  • A seasoned communications professional who can independently lead complex workstreams, advise stakeholders through ambiguity, build scalable communication practices, and use insights, feedback, and data to continuously improve communication effectiveness and business impact.
  • A collaborative teammate who can coordinate communications across teams and functions.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly as business priorities evolve.
  • Passionate about leveraging AI and new technologies to improve communication efficiency and impact.

You will

  • Advise business stakeholders on communication strategy, audience needs, timing, sequencing, channel effectiveness, and message clarity.
  • Lead field communications governance, partnering across the business to reduce noise, prioritize audiences, and ensure communications are relevant, actionable, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Develop planning tools, content calendars, and best practices that enable proactive intake, coordinated delivery, and consistent field and colleague communications.
  • Create and oversee high-impact communications across email, newsletters, portals, leader talking points, event materials, and other channels for colleagues, advisors, and field teams.
  • Use segmentation, data, and field feedback to tailor communications, identify gaps, improve relevance, and refine messaging and channel strategies over time.
  • Shape communications for town halls, national meetings, regional events, virtual forums, and other field engagement moments.
  • Leverage metrics, automation, AI, and standardized practices to improve communication effectiveness, efficiency, and measurable business impact.

Reporting relationship

You will report to our Head of Individual Business Communications.

Location

  • This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in one of our HUB Locations. Hudson Yards NY, Boston MA, Holmdel NJ, or Bethlehem PA

Salary Range:

$103,450.00 - $169,960.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
