Spine Sales Associate 


Location: Emilia-Romagna
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

About the Role


VB Spine is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to maximize revenue through our network of reseller partners, including dealers, distributors, and value-added resellers. This individual contributor role focuses on identifying, recruiting, and supporting channel partners while driving sales performance, customer satisfaction, and market expansion.

The position requires independent judgment, minimal supervision, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain market share and high customer satisfaction with existing accounts in the assigned territory
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through channel partners and direct engagement
  • Organize and support local events, educational programs, referral initiatives (Ambassador Program), and stakeholder outreach
  • Deliver regular sales and budget reporting to the Regional Sales Manager through structured Business Reviews
  • Execute local market strategy in coordination with the Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, and Product Manager
  • Manage and deliver training for the sales force and coordinate agent activities as needed
  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain detailed stakeholder mapping
  • Provide qualitative and sales-oriented consultation to physicians, surgical/theatre staff, and hospital administration
  • Implement marketing programs, promotions, product launches, and presentations
  • Organize and lead trainings, surgical participation, observation surgeries, and hands-on workshops
  • Coordinate product distribution and logistics, including conditionals, deposits, and kits
  • Control and optimize all resources and materials within the sales area
  • Report regularly on sales performance, investments, market intelligence, and required adaptations
  • Act as the interface between external customers/suppliers and internal teams (Customer Service, Tender & Pricing, Logistics, Inventory)
  • Drive continuous improvement of tender processes, tools, and templates

Education
University degree preferred (Engineering, Nursing, Biology, or related fields) but not mandatory.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Sales, business development, or technical experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Communicative English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Product and sales training provided based on experience level

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support surgical teams by prepping and managing spinal instrumentation and implants 
  • Learn spinal anatomy, imaging, and surgical techniques through structured training and real-world exposure 
  • Manage logistics and surgical inventory across hospital accounts 
  • Ensure successful surgical case coverage by staying sharp, responsive, and detail-oriented 
  • Work closely with surgeons, hospital staff, and your team to deliver outstanding service 
  • Represent VB Spine with professionalism, urgency, and integrity 


What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree OR  
  • Associate’s degree/medical certification + 2 years of work experience 
  • High school diploma + 4 years of relevant work experience  
  • 4+ years of military service 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Desire to learn quickly, work hard, and grow within a team 
  • Composure in high-pressure, clinical settings 
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and maintain flexibility for an on-call schedule

Compensation: 
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. The typical pay range for this position is $XX,000 – $XX,000 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. 

VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
