What You’ll Do

The AI Development Platform organization at CoreWeave owns all commercial products and services enabling faster and more efficient development of AI models, agents, and applications. W&B Weave is a leading AI observability platform used by a broad set of customers across start-ups and enterprises to trace, monitor, and evaluate their AI agents throughout development and production deployments. AI development is the backbone of CoreWeave’s AI loop strategy.

The Weave team owns the design, implementation, and operation of its high-scale agent tracing services, offline evaluation APIs, and online monitoring capabilities to automatically detect and 

annotate agent failures.

Within the Weave team, we are building an Enterprise team aimed at optimizing the product for large enterprise customers with specific requirements around scalability, governance, and compliance.

About the Role

As an Engineering Manager on Weave’s Enterprise team, you will lead a team of full-stack and infrastructure engineers responsible for Weave’s availability, readiness, and compliance for Weave’s Enterprise customers.

You will own technical direction, delivery, and operational health for your team, partnering closely with Weave leadership and CoreWeave’s Sales Organization to maintain a close feedback loop with customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team making Weave the best AI observability platform for enterprise customers.
  • Optimize Weave for very large scale ingest volumes and data processing across all major cloud platforms
  • Partner with the Sales organization to enable new deals and support existing ones
  • Monitor and optimize a large set of single-tenant deployments, and support customer-managed deployments.
  • Establish and enforce SLAs/SLOs for service availability and data readiness
  • Lead the optimization of underlying infrastructure and data storage components for best performance and cost
  • Drive roadmap, execution, hiring, and foster a strong culture of excellence
  • Hire, coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve culture of excellence
  • Report to team leadership on system health, and participate in overall roadmap design
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident responses

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 1–3 years as an engineering manager with people-leading responsibilities.
  • Experience leading team shipping enterprise software at scale, including single-tenant and on-premise deployments, large data stores, compliance, security, and performance constraints.
  • Strong grasp of service availability and performance metrics, SLAs/SLOs, incident response protocols
  • Understanding of AI observability primitives, workflows, and requirements
  • Ability to collaborate with sales organizations and join customer calls
  • Experience owning end-to-end delivery for production services, including planning, execution, quality, and operational health.       
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive impact and results                                                                                                                                                  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to align engineering, product, finance, and compliance stakeholders around priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.     
  • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, available to come into the SF office at least a few days a week.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with single-tenant architecture tradeoffs in a SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack technologies such as ClickHouse, Kafka, or Kubernetes for high-throughput data processing.
  • Prior experience in the MLOps or AI observability space, specifically supporting LLM application development workflows.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment during a period of rapid growth.

The base salary range for this role is $182,000.00 - $242,000.00. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
