Join the Home Lending Controllers organization and play a critical role in supporting the financial management of the firm’s residential mortgage portfolio. As a Vice President within the Real Estate Portfolio (REP) Product Control team, you will partner with senior business leaders, Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Controllers to deliver accurate financial reporting, insightful analytics, and a strong control environment. This highly visible role provides opportunities to influence strategic decisions, drive process improvements, and lead initiatives that enhance financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Job Summary

As a Vice President on the Home Lending Controllers Real Estate Portfolio Product Control team, you will oversee financial reporting, balance sheet management, profitability analysis, forecasting, and month-end close activities for the Real Estate Portfolio business. You will serve as a strategic partner to business and finance leaders, ensuring financial results are accurately reported, risks are understood, and key business initiatives are appropriately evaluated and controlled. The role expands upon the traditional product control responsibilities by adding ownership, leadership, governance, and strategic finance partnership responsibilities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the Real Estate Portfolio business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee P&L, balance sheet, and net interest income reporting, including analysis of key drivers, variances, and emerging trends.
  • Provide meaningful financial analysis and executive reporting to senior business leaders and finance management.
  • Partner with Home Lending Finance leadership, Treasury, Capital Markets, Risk, and Controller teams to support strategic planning and business initiatives.
  • Drive the implementation and enhancement of financial controls, governance processes, and reporting standards.
  • Coordinate across Finance, Product & Transformation, Technology, Treasury, Risk and other support functions to resolve reporting, control, and data quality issues.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, scalability, and transparency.
  • Support regulatory, accounting, and business change initiatives affecting the Real Estate Portfolio.
  • Manage and execute ad hoc financial analyses and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Manage and develop team members in US and India and contribute to the development of a high-performing finance organization.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Control, Treasury, Capital Markets, FP&A or related finance disciplines.
  • Experience leading month-end close, balance sheet oversight, and financial reporting processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, balance sheet management, and profitability reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a robust control mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence partners across multiple functions.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience working with large datasets and financial reporting systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation.
  • Experience supporting mortgage banking, consumer lending, capital markets, balance sheet and capital management, or Home Lending finance organizations.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, stress testing, regulatory reporting, and capital management processes.
  • Experience with financial data analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or Databricks.
  • Demonstrated success leading transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven leadership experience managing projects and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
