About the Role:
As Senior Tax Manager at Global Tax Business Solutions (GTBS) you will be responsible for Global Task Risk Management (GTRM) for Gartner’s commercial operations across EMEA and wider. This role requires a tax professional who combines deep technical tax expertise with exceptional communication skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to navigate complex, fast‑moving environments with confidence and transparency. Success in this role means proactively identifying tax risks, driving audit readiness, supporting tax audits, fostering strong cross‑functional relationships, and continuously improving processes to support Gartner’s global tax strategy.
What you’ll do:
- Manage all forms of tax audits and inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and strategic responses to tax authorities
- Partner with colleagues in GTBS, Finance, Legal, Commercial Operations, and other stakeholders to gather, validate, and present information required for audits and inquiries.
- Oversee relationships with external advisors and government auditors, ensuring consistent messaging, high‑quality deliverables, and efficient workflows
- Serve as the central point of contact for all audit‑related documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with GTRM leadership.
- Contribute to the development and execution of Gartner’s Global Tax Risk Management framework, including audit readiness, risk assessments, and process improvements.
- Conduct research and provide clear, actionable analysis of global tax developments impacting Gartner.
- Partnering with local country Finance and Commercial teams to assist with operational tax queries.
- Evaluate client and vendor contracts for tax implications, including withholding tax obligations.
- Support ad‑hoc initiatives related to tax risk, audit readiness, and process optimization.
What you’ll need:
- Registered Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Tax Consultant (CTA) or similar recognized qualification.
- Min 8+ years of PQE in a corporate tax team in a large accounting/legal firm or a multinational company.
- Experience in dealing with the audit defense process, dealing with foreign tax authorities, managing outside counsel; and experience with negotiation and execution of audit settlement.

- Not a TP specialist but has good experience of international TP arrangements
