About the role
Commit builds software products for clients across embedded, IoT, SaaS, AI/ML, e-commerce, mobile, banking and web. We’re looking for an Automation QA Team Lead to own quality engineering for a product team and lead our shift to AI-first QA. You’ll set the test strategy, lead a team of QA engineers, and stay hands-on building automation — with AI woven into how tests are designed, authored, and maintained. This is a role for someone who pairs deep automation craft with modern AI tooling and can translate requirements into test documentation that both people and AI agents can execute.
What you’ll do
• Own the QA strategy and test architecture for full stack web applications, end to end.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers — reviews, standards, and delivery quality.
• Stay hands-on: design and build automated E2E and regression suites with Playwright.
• Drive AI-first QA practices — AI-assisted test authoring, self-healing suites, and AI-driven test generation from requirements.
• Author Software Test Documents (STDs), test plans, and test cases structured for AI-driven execution.
• Partner with developers and clients (including large enterprise and banking environments) to embed quality across the delivery lifecycle.

• Expert-level automation with Playwright (a must).
• Deep, hands-on fluency with modern browsers and their dev tools (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit).
• Proven experience applying AI tools to QA beyond Playwright — for example: AI-assisted test authoring (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code), self-healing / autonomous E2E (mabl, Testim, or Katalon), and AI visual validation (Applitools).
• Experience writing STDs and test plans suitable for AI-driven testing.
• Fluent with modern dev tooling: Git, JIRA, Jenkins.
• Professional-level English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice to have
• Additional automation frameworks and languages (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, TypeScript/Python).
• Performance, API, or security testing experience.
• Experience working in large organizations (e.g. banking / financial services).
