This role combines supply chain expertise, data analytics, and risk sensing capabilities to support production continuity across global operations..

TThe Supply Chain Risk Sensing & Resilience Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for providing proactive visibility into Ford's global supply network.

As a Supply Chain Risk Analyst, you will analyse supplier ecosystems beyond Tier-1 suppliers to identify vulnerabilities, regional dependencies, capacity constraints, and emerging risks. Working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Material Planning & Logistics, and Digital teams, you will transform complex supply chain data into meaningful business insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

This role requires strong analytical capability, supply chain knowledge, stakeholder collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Multi-Tier Supply Chain Analysis

  • Conduct deep-dive mapping of supplier networks across Tier-2, Tier-3, and lower-tier suppliers.
  • Develop visibility into critical commodities, electronics, and strategic supply chains.
  • Validate supplier-provided information using external data sources, logistics information, and historical performance records.
  • Maintain accurate supply chain network intelligence and data quality.

Risk Identification & Assessment

  • Identify supply chain vulnerabilities, including single-source suppliers, regional concentration risks, and capacity constraints.
  • Assess geopolitical, environmental, economic, and operational risks across supplier networks.
  • Support predictive risk-monitoring initiatives using analytical and data-driven approaches.
  • Develop risk impact assessments for critical supply chains and commodities.

Data Analytics & Intelligence

  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, disruptions, and emerging supply chain risks.
  • Create executive-level dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Develop reports and insights that support strategic sourcing and risk mitigation decisions.
  • Collaborate with digital and analytics teams to support AI-enabled resilience solutions.

Operational Support

  • Manage assigned commodity or supplier portfolios.
  • Support supply disruption events by providing rapid data analysis and decision support.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to risk identification and mitigation activities.
  • Maintain high levels of analytical accuracy and responsiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Global Purchasing, Engineering, Material Planning & Logistics, and supplier management teams.
  • Support strategic sourcing decisions through supply network intelligence.
  • Contribute analytical inputs to resilience playbooks and business continuity planning activities.

 

Qualifications

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Operations Research
  • Data Science
  • Other Technical Disciplines

Preferred:

  • Specialisation in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Analytics, or Data Science.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in:
  • Supply Chain Planning
  • Commodity Management
  • Risk Management
  • Supplier Interaction

Preferred industry experience:

  • Automotive
  • Electronics
  • Aerospace
  • High-technology Manufacturing
