What You’ll Be Doing:
The Market Operations Analyst serves as a critical liaison between operational leaders, business stakeholders, and delivery teams. This role is responsible for understanding business needs, translating operational challenges into documented, actionable requirements, and supporting the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. The analyst will drive requirements management, business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness activities to ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
Who You’ll Be Working With:
The Market Operations Analyst partners closely with leaders and subject matter experts across operations, product, technology, analytics, implementation, and client-facing teams. This role works in a highly collaborative environment, serving as a trusted advisor and problem solver for internal stakeholders and external healthcare partners.
You will work directly with Medicaid market leadership and operational teams to support strategic initiatives, business process improvements, regulatory implementations, and partner priorities. Success in this role requires the ability to build strong relationships, navigate ambiguity, facilitate cross-functional alignment, document requirements and translate complex business needs into actionable solutions.
This role reports to Evolent's Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations and offers significant exposure to senior leaders across the organization while supporting a high-profile Medicaid partnership.
The Day-to-Day
- Lead requirements management activities including business requirements, process flows, acceptance criteria, stakeholder reviews, approvals, and documentation standards.
- Maintain business, workflow, and operational documentation to support process changes, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, working groups, and stakeholder discussions to document current and future-state processes.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, and support delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Manage business requirement document (BRD) deadlines with necessary tools for completion tracking and clearly identifying open items that need inputs from stakeholders.
- Provide training to staff on need basis and act as a mentor for new team members.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience.
- Experience translating complex operational processes into business requirements and process documentation within a healthcare or Medicaid environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Experience developing business requirements, process flows, and solution mockups.
- Able to work independently and within a collaborative team environment with little guidance/supervision.
- 2+ years of computer skills, especially: Word, Excel, Miro, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Technical Requirements:

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $75,000-$80,000/year. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
