NVIDIA’s networking performance engineering tools team is looking for a talented student software engineer to join our team.

Our team develops software that helps optimize the world’s fastest AI and data center networking technologies.We build tools for benchmarking, telemetry, performance analysis, and AI-assisted insights, used by NVIDIA R&D, and leading customers worldwide to understand bottlenecks and achieve world-class performance.

Our work includes tools released as part of the NVIDIA DOCA package, open-source projects, and AI skills and agents for performance analysis.

We use AI as an engineering amplifier: not to skip the fundamentals, but to design, build, and ship better software faster.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop, improve, and test software tools for benchmarking, telemetry, and performance analysis.
  • Take ownership of features end-to-end: work with stakeholders to understand requirements, design and implement solutions, validate them, and support them after release.
  • Develop software using Python, C++, and modern web application technologies.
  • Practice design, coding, testing, automation, DevOps, and production-quality delivery.

What we need to see:

  • Currently pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic understanding of software engineering concepts such as object-oriented programming and data structures.
  • Passion for software development and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work well in a team, communicate effectively, and take ownership.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Meaningful experience or achievements beyond coursework, such as prior work in any domain, self-driven projects, sports, arts, music, education, community work, entrepreneurship, or other long-term commitments.
  • Hands-on experience building, testing, maintaining, or shipping software, including personal projects or self-directed learning.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Python, C++, web technologies, AI tools, etc.
