Lead Cloud BI Product Manager
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide thought leadership and strategic direction across a portfolio of Cloud BI products and analytics solutions or within a highly complex business intelligence product area.
The Lead Cloud BI Product Manager works closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Product Owners, analytics teams, data teams, and operational leaders to ensure product investments align with business priorities, customer needs, and organizational objectives.
The role is responsible for defining and maintaining the strategic vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management of Cloud BI products and reporting solutions. They champion data-driven decision-making by ensuring products deliver actionable insights, improved user experiences, operational efficiencies, and measurable business outcomes.
The Lead Cloud BI Product Manager influences product strategy across multiple analytics and reporting solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives, data capabilities, and organizational priorities. They identify opportunities to enhance reporting, analytics, and business processes while promoting consistency across products and services.
The role leverages a strong understanding of business operations, cloud economics, data and analytics, and stakeholder requirements to guide product decisions and mentor Product Managers and Product Owners. Working across global teams, the Lead Cloud BI Product Manager drives strategic alignment, product adoption, and continuous improvement across the Cloud BI portfolio.
This role is business-facing, global in scope, and requires the ability to understand key business drivers, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, and recommend product enhancements that deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities:
Own the strategic vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management of multiple Cloud BI products or complex analytics solution areas.
Partner closely with Business Stakeholders and Product Managers to understand market needs, Business priorities and provide thought leadership from a product solution perspective across multiple products as input to strategy.
Collaborate with architects to align on functional design and technology utilization across multiple products within the global solution.
Simplify the complexity of desired solutions by creating user stories that give clear functional and non-functional direction to development teams. Directly responsible within their complex product areas and/or mentors other product owners in this task.
Own and maintain a prioritized three-month roadmap that is transparent, and aligned with business priorities. Support other product owners to ensure strategic alignment.
Lead the selection process for new technology choices within product areas. Facilitate the process, working with Architects, Product Managers, Product Owners, and development teams to choose appropriate technology aligned with strategic needs.
Ensure overall strategic alignment of the products within their area of responsibility and effective overall design across products for the business.
Support the story refinement process to enable continuous delivery within the Sprint cadence.
Take the lead from a product team perspective in product innovation and creativity, focusing on outcomes and strategic alignment across all products in conjunction with the Architecture team.
Mentor and coach Product Managers promoting best practices in product management, customer-centricity, and value delivery
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience managing analytics, reporting, or business intelligence products
Experience driving user adoption, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recognizes and attends to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
Communicates clearly and conveys necessary information effectively.
Converses and writes effectively in English and other local/regional languages.
Creates and conducts formal presentations.
Interacts effectively with higher levels of management (managers and above).
