As a Director, Accounting Financial Shared Services (FSSC) you will lead activities and manage a team within the US Finance area. The role, working independently, is responsible for driving highly complex financial, accounting and economic analyses, including journal entry review, detailed calculations and internal and external reporting. This role prepares and presents recommendations to senior managers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages a team responsible for providing financial, accounting and economic analyses.

  • Responsible for complex expense management reporting, modeling, and analysis and Divisional/BU/Functional business and leader support.

  • Responsible for reviewing accounting activities such as standard and non-standard journal entries, reviewing reconciliations of complex general ledger accounts, and reviewing state filings, footnotes, and financial statement pages.

  • Responsible for analyzing financial results and reviewing analysis prepared by others.

  • Responsible for explaining financial results to senior managers.

  • Reviews work performed by staff accountants and provides feedback.

  • Shows an advanced degree of proficiency with reporting and analysis tools.

  • Proposes and implements data management efficiencies.

  • Mentors and provides guidance to accounting staff.

  • Shares best practices with other team members and makes recommendations for process improvements.

  • Leads other team members on various projects and analyses.

  • Recommends and implements process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.

  • MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.

  • Typically 10 or more years of experience.

  • Possesses advanced ability to draft managerial reporting narratives.

  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and excellent analytical skills.

  • Self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative, strong work ethic and the ability to gather, synthesize, organize and report information.

  • Demonstrates ability to lead complex cross-BU or cross-divisional processes or projects and effectively work through others.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory rules and/or business processes as they pertain to the accountant's sphere of responsibility (e.g., a set of regulatory filings or account reconciliations).

  • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize work deliverables and projects for internal clients based on changing business needs (deadlines, costs, scope of projects).

Salary range is expected to be between

$128,550.00 USD - $222,820.00 USD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
