Our team develops new or modified processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscopes.

 

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr. of Honeywell Aerospace, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing engineering processes.  You will determine parts and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for both existing and new processes/product technologies.  You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.  Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects in a challenging environment.

  • Provide test and manufacturing support for the RLG (Ring Laser Gyroscope) production line.
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Help grow capacity by reducing cycle time, incorporating new capital equipment, and improving yield. 
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Assist development of new processes for new products.
  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. 
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience

  • Experience with CNC machining, optics, electronics, and/or data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.

  • Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately identify subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).

  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) / Lean / Six Sigma

Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
