Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. Air Liquide is seeking a qualified Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our team at the Air Separation Unit (ASU) plant. The I&E Technician is
responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing all plant instrumentation, electrical distribution equipment, process gas analyzers, and control systems. This role is vital to maintaining safe, reliable, and continuous cryogenic operations while optimizing process efficiency and product purity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of instrumentation and electrical systems, including PLCs, sensors, transmitters, motors, and control panels.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and adhere to established quality management procedures and standards for all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Participate in asset management activities, including tracking equipment performance, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to equipment lifecycle planning.
  • Identify potential risks associated with equipment operation and maintenance, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of I&E systems and support overall plant objectives.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by applying principles of organizational behavior and effective teamwork.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Asset Management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management systems and their application in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with I&E equipment and operations.
  • Knowledge of Organizational Behavior principles to foster effective teamwork and communication.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical schematics and P&IDs.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant technical certifications or associate's degree in instrumentation, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
