We are looking for a Talent Solutions Intern supporting the LATAM Software Developer Engineer recruiting team by developing and optimizing AI-powered tools that enhance the sourcing lifecycle — from candidate identification and engagement to pipeline quality and delivery.
Interns at Amazon Mexico work 6hs a day (30hs/week) for 12 months (internship will be conducted between September 2026 and September 2027). . Participants will join Amazon as Interns at our CDMX Office in Mexico.
Key job responsibilities
Expanded duties blending sourcing fundamentals with AI innovation:
• AI Prompt Engineering & Tool Development — Design, test, and refine AI prompts and tools that support sourcing workflows (candidate identification, Boolean logic generation, outreach messaging, candidate assessment/prescreening support)
• Sourcing Process Optimization — Analyze existing sourcing methodologies and identify opportunities to reduce friction (fewer clicks, better UX, streamlined workflows) in tools used for candidate generation, engagement, and pipeline management
• Data Analysis & Funnel Insights — Use candidate funnel metrics, response rates, and pipeline data to measure tool effectiveness, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to sourcing strategies
• Candidate Engagement Innovation — Develop AI-assisted solutions for candidate outreach, value proposition messaging, and engagement personalization that improve response rates and candidate experience
• Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration — Partner with Sourcers, Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and cross-functional teams to validate pain points, gather requirements, and socialize solutions. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Solution Validation & Scaling — Proactively raise findings to confirm genuine problems that multiple team members experience, then build and document scalable solutions for the broader recruiting org
- • Experience with AI/Large Language Model tools and prompt engineering; basic programming/scripting skills (Python preferred); analytical mindset with ability to interpret funnel/pipeline data; strong
- • Written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Experience building internal tools or automations; knowledge of Boolean search logic or sourcing methodologies

Basic qualifications
- • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field) with a graduation conferral date between December 2024 and December 2027.- • Experience with AI/Large Language Model tools and prompt engineering; basic programming/scripting skills (Python preferred); analytical mindset with ability to interpret funnel/pipeline data; strong
- • Written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with data visualization or Business Intelligence tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Excel); passion for People related topics such as recruiting or HR. Knowledge of CRM/Applicant Tracking System systems (iCIMS, Beamery, LinkedIn Recruiter); prior internship or project work in process automation or UX improvement; bilingual (English + Portuguese and/or Spanish)- Experience building internal tools or automations; knowledge of Boolean search logic or sourcing methodologies
