AdministrationPosition Summary
We’re currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team at our plant location in Aiken, SCThis individual in this role will be responsible for using their nursing skills to ensure employee health and well-being. This position falls within the Safety Team and also works collaboratively with HR to perform tasks ensuring that teammates are healthy and able to work safely. The site nurse should be comfortable working autonomously with confident triage skills.
*** This role will be an onsite schedule at plant location 4 to 5 days a week ***
Responsibilities
Respond to all on-site emergencies.
Manage the AED program in accordance with state and federal policies.
Manage the Audiometry program
Manage the First Responder Program, including instructing CPR/FA and BBP.
Perform medical tasks (questionnaires, exams, PFTs) for the Respiratory Program.
Maintain a supplied clinic and all onsite first aid kits.
Determine teammates' fitness to return to work from medical leave.
Perform wellness tasks on any teammates who come to the medical clinic.
Resource for teammates providing medical support and referrals
Manage workers' comp cases from initial injury until case closure
Manage medical records in accordance with OSHA standards/confidentiality regulations
Work with medical oversight physician to maintain treatment protocols.
Handle and maintain all medical waste in accordance with state/federal laws.
Manage and enforce the drug testing program.
Be available after hours to assist with work-related injuries.
Maintain exposure control protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of RN related emergency triage experience
South Carolina or Compact Registered Nurse License.
COHN certification preferred
CAOHC certification preferred or required to get within 3 months of hire
Strong knowledge of OSHA/ADA/Disability and other occupational health regulations
Ability to work independently with strong emergency triage skills
