We do this by designing and managing the systems, tools, and strategies that drive commercial excellence across planning, performance insights, skilling, sales tools, and business operations. Within EE&O, the Planning Enablement Strategy & Operations team turns complex planning needs into scalable operating capabilities and AI-enabled experiences that help the business work with greater clarity, consistency, and speed.
We are hiring a Technical Program Manager II to help own, improve, and scale a growing portfolio of internal AI transformation solutions, workflow automations, operational tools, and business platforms. This role will partner with business stakeholders, solution builders, and technical owners to move capabilities from pilot or individually built solutions into reliable, secure, well-documented, and supportable products. This role requires hands-on technical fluency, program leadership, and an understanding of architecture, integrations, data flows, automation logic, and AI-enabled experiences.
In this role, you will drive complex, cross-functional technical programs across the solution lifecycle—from discovery and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) definition through release, support, and continuous improvement. You will establish technical and operational guardrails, manage enhancement backlogs and trade-offs, coordinate troubleshooting and release readiness, reduce dependency on individual builders, and create the documentation, support models, and feedback loops needed for solutions to scale. You will bring sound judgment, a practical builder mindset, and the ability to influence across business and technical teams to deliver durable outcomes for planning operations and the broader commercial business.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities

Manage solution backlogs: Capture business needs, prioritize enhancements, refine requirements, and coordinate delivery across stakeholders and technical contributors.
Support technical maintenance: Troubleshoot issues, coordinate fixes, validate releases, manage risks, and improve operational sustainability.
Drive AI and automation improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes using AI, workflow automation, data integration, and Microsoft 365 capabilities.
Partner with builders and business owners: Work with engineers, solution builders, program managers, and planning teams to translate operational pain points into practical solution enhancements.
Strengthen production readiness: Create runbooks, support models, documentation, testing plans, and change-management practices for internal platforms.
Enable adoption and feedback loops: Gather user feedback, monitor usage patterns, develop training materials, and recommend improvements based on business value.
Incubate new capabilities: Support discovery, prototyping, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) definition for new AI, automation, and business platform opportunities.
