Personal Assistant
A great PA does not just manage a diary. They give a busy person their life back, one well-run week at a time.
Job Overview
Our UK-based client is hiring a full-time, remote Personal Assistant based in South Africa. You will support a busy UK principal with diary, inbox, travel, and personal and business administration - handled with discretion, initiative and polish. This is a long-term role on UK business hours.
About Our Client
The client is a successful UK professional whose week is a moving puzzle of commitments. They need a PA who thinks ahead: someone who spots the clash before it happens and fixes it before it is mentioned.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a busy diary: scheduling, rescheduling and protecting focus time
- Triage the inbox: drafting replies, filing, and flagging what truly matters
- Book travel, accommodation and detailed itineraries end to end
- Handle personal administration: appointments, renewals, orders and errands-by-internet
- Prepare documents, notes and reminders ahead of every commitment
- Liaise graciously with clients, suppliers and family contacts
- Keep confidences absolutely - discretion is the foundation of the role
What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day
Your morning starts before your principal's does: diary checked, clashes fixed, priorities lined up, and a short brief waiting for them. Through the day you will handle correspondence, confirm arrangements, and quietly clear the small tasks that otherwise steal their evenings.
You will end each day with tomorrow prepared and nothing important left floating. Within a month, your principal should wonder how they managed before you.
This suits a South African professional who is warm but boundaried, meticulous but flexible, and completely dependable with sensitive information.
If you are based in South Africa with PA experience, immaculate English and a service heart, this is a stable remote role with a UK principal who values their PA properly. Apply today.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience as a PA, EA or senior administrator
- Immaculate written and spoken English with a discreet, professional manner
- Proven reliability: stable fibre internet, backup power for load shedding, and a quiet home office
- Confident with tech tools: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, calendars, travel booking and task apps
- Proactive, organised and calm juggling changing priorities
- Trustworthy to the core with personal and business information
Benefits
Full-time remote position working for a UK-based employer. Competitive salary paid in ZAR. Long-term stable role. Supportive team environment. Direct access to founder-led business.
