Pratt & Whitney, an RTX Company, is looking for a ASP.NET MVC and Angular Full-Stack developer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Aftermarket Services team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s App Dev Services Portfolio, as well as integrations with other enterprise products. This role will support the development of back-end and web-based solutions, troubleshooting of problems related to App Dev Services applications, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and supporting the application life cycle Center of Excellence. Due to customer locations in different time zones, customer meetings can occur outside normal business work hours.

The Digital Aftermarket Services team at Pratt and Whitney is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who will be excited in delivering digital solutions within our App Dev Services Portfolio as it relates to supporting our aftermarket operations worldwide. Specific focus includes the development of enhancements to our systems and troubleshooting production and preproduction system changes.
What You Will Do *
- Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, Angular, and SQL Server.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing front-end and back-end solutions following modern software engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations with internal and third-party applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and high-quality software solutions.
- Perform application enhancements, feature development, refactoring, and technical debt remediation to improve maintainability and scalability.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting application issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA), resolving incidents, and implementing preventive measures.
- Monitor production applications, investigate performance bottlenecks, optimize SQL queries, and improve application responsiveness and reliability.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, and solution planning to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Contribute to application modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core/.NET 8 where applicable.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to streamline deployment and environment management.
- Implement DevOps best practices including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated deployments, release management, and environment configuration.
- Work with cloud technologies, containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) to support scalable application deployments.
- Ensure application security by implementing secure coding standards, authentication, authorization, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and Agile ceremonies while delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines.
- Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.

- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core/.NET 6+, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL Server.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of Entity Framework/Core, LINQ, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Key Vault, and other Azure PaaS services.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
- Experience supporting production applications, incident management, root cause analysis, and application performance optimization.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation.
- Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep), and cloud infrastructure management.
- Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Splunk, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of application security, authentication (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT), and secure coding practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience designing scalable enterprise architectures and participating in architecture review boards.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, messaging platforms and API gateways.
- Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Key Vault, and other Azure PaaS services.
- Knowledge of SonarQube, code quality tools, vulnerability scanning, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis and distributed caching strategies.
- Experience with performance testing, load testing, and application capacity planning.
- Microsoft Azure Developer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or related certifications are a plus.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring development teams, and driving continuous improvement.
