Salesforce Analytics Team
Job Summary:
The Salesforce Senior Developer on the Salesforce Analytics Team will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced analytics and reporting solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem at Cencora. This role focuses on transforming complex business data into actionable insights using Salesforce CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM / Einstein Analytics), Salesforce Reports & Dashboards. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce development expertise with strong data literacy and a passion for empowering business stakeholders with real-time, data-driven intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM / Einstein Analytics) dashboards, lenses, datasets, and dataflows to deliver actionable business insights
- Develop and optimize Salesforce Reports and Dashboards for various business units including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Operations
- Build and manage data pipelines and dataflows within CRM Analytics, including data transformation using SAQL (Salesforce Analytics Query Language)
- Leverage Salesforce Data Cloud to unify, harmonize, and activate customer and operational data for analytics consumption
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather analytics requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs
- Develop custom Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows to extend and embed analytics capabilities within Salesforce applications
- Integrate Salesforce analytics solutions with external data sources (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, SAP, S3) using connectors, APIs, and ETL pipelines
- Implement Einstein Discovery models to deliver AI-powered predictions and recommendations embedded in Salesforce records and dashboards
- Ensure analytics solutions comply with Salesforce data governance, security models, row-level security (RLS), and field-level security standards
- Work with Tableau (external) or other BI tools to complement Salesforce-native analytics where applicable
- Conduct code and dashboard reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish best practices for analytics development
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize dashboard performance, data refresh schedules, and dataflow efficiency
- Stay current with Salesforce Analytics platform releases and proactively recommend new features for adoption
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- 3+ years of experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM / Einstein Analytics), including dashboard design, dataflow development, and SAQL
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce Flow
- Strong experience with Salesforce Reports and Dashboards, including dynamic dashboards and cross-object reporting
- Hands-on experience with SAQL for custom data queries within CRM Analytics
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud or customer data platform (CDP) concepts
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external data sources using REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, or third-party ETL tools
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
- Experience with Salesforce DX (SFDX), Git, and CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified CRM Analytics and Einstein Discovery Consultant certification
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II certification
- Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification
- Experience with Einstein Discovery for AI-powered predictive analytics and model storytelling
- Proficiency with Tableau (desktop or server) for supplemental enterprise reporting and visualization
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or AWS Redshift and their integration with Salesforce
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, or R for data preprocessing, transformation, or advanced analytics use cases
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT best practices
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and metadata management
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
- Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to present complex analytical findings to non-technical business stakeholders

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02), AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals, RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification, or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycle practices, testing strategies, and production support models. Knowledge of system architecture, application design, integration patterns, debugging techniques, version control, and deployment approaches. Knowledge of performance engineering, reliability, scalability, secure design, and operational resilience concepts. Skill in coding, configuration, technical design, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving. Skill in using development frameworks, testing tools, source control platforms, CI/CD pipelines, collaboration tools, and work management systems. Ability to lead moderately complex to complex engineering work independently while applying sound judgment, quality standards, and risk awareness. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate solution options, dependencies, risks, and progress clearly. Knowledge of advanced software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycle practices, testing strategies, and production support models. Knowledge of application architecture, system design, integration patterns, cloud and infrastructure components, and secure engineering practices. Knowledge of performance engineering, scalability, reliability, resilience, observability, and operational support frameworks. Skill in technical design, coding or configuration, debugging, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and structured problem solving. Skill in using development frameworks, testing tools, source control platforms, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, collaboration platforms, and work management systems. Ability to lead complex engineering work independently while applying strong technical judgment, quality standards, and risk awareness. Ability to influence technical direction, guide design decisions, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
