Production Scheduler
Work Location: Unilever Cu Chi Factory
Job Purpose
Support the execution of production plans by creating detailed weekly production schedules for manufacturing lines and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of materials and packaging.
Responsibilities
Production Scheduling
- Prepare detailed weekly production schedules by shift and by production line/machine for the current production week and n+1 & n+2 weeks.
- Coordinate with the Planning team to align production schedules with material and packaging availability.
- Adjust production plans as required to ensure smooth execution and minimize disruptions.
- Apply production planning principles and performance standards such as equipment utilization, production efficiency, workforce allocation, and changeover optimization.
- Monitor daily and weekly production progress and prepare performance output reports.
- Digital applications to enhance operational performance, simplify work processes, eliminate losses, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the deployment and sustainment of Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) methodology within assigned pillar and plant areas.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure materials are available and production plans can be executed as scheduled.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to address material or packaging shortages and revise production schedules when necessary.
- Support the implementation and operation of digital inventory and warehouse management initiatives.
- Coordinate with logistic team to ensure pertinent loading container time.
Master Data & System Management
- Maintain and update product master data and related information in ERP and other operational systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across planning, inventory, and production systems.
Other Duties
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, workplace organization activities, and quality programs.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor or department manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related fields.
- 1 year+ of experience in production scheduling or related fields.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems (such as SAP) is an advantage.
- Good communication and stakeholders management skills.
- Proactive, flexible and able to perform in a fast-changing environment.
- Eager to learn and continuously improve.
