Full Stack Engineer

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Application Management Group (AMG). As a Full Stack Engineer, GS-2210-12, you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in any Group/Division within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), supporting agile system development methodologies and human-centered design practices in developing cost-effective solutions. Develop and maintain user interfaces using standard web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Work with established frameworks and libraries under general supervision to create responsive web applications. Manage database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to optimize query performance, and engineer data integration strategies to ensure system scalability and integrity. Perform data backup procedures and monitor database performance. Conduct testing of software applications and system integrations in controlled environments. Resolve complex technical issues and provide expert consultation to senior management and stakeholders. Support the development of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and database integration.
